Introduction

Jakub Pelczar

Hi, I’m Jakub Pelczar.

I build the frontend other teams build on: design systems and app architecture in React and Angular. I’m a Staff Software Engineer with 10+ years on the web, and I own the whole arc, from the first design review to what happens after launch. I also care about the parts most engineers treat as somebody else’s job: the token that’s one shade off, the transition that’s one frame too slow, the detail nobody asked for but everybody notices.

What I Do

Where I spend my time.

frontend-architectureFrontend architecture that lets many teams ship on one codebase without stepping on each other.
design-systemsThe shared language between design and code: tokens, components, and the contracts that keep them in sync.
product-engineeringOwning work end to end: design reviews, delivery, and the dashboards that tell you whether it actually worked.
interaction-craftThe interaction and motion detail most teams cut for time. This page is the demo.

Projects

Built on the side.

pk-designAn interior-design studio’s site, from design to deployment. Grav 2 with a custom theme that indexes projects by room, local-search landing pages with FAQ schema, and admin forms so the owner runs it herself. Client since 2021; the 2026 rebuild was done with AI tooling. pk-design.com.pl
wigor-studioBack office for a wellness studio, in production since 2018: SMS visit reminders and campaigns to 4,500+ clients, plus a staff-rota solver (greedy seed, then simulated annealing). The 2026 rewrite in Fastify, React and Drizzle took over the live database without a migration.
brainA private gallery that my Claude sessions publish HTML artifacts to through my own MCP server: sandboxed rendering behind signed URLs, persistent state for artifacts, installable as a PWA. Next.js and SQLite.
pet-storyA closed, non-commercial app for about 20 friends: a daily pet photo becomes a diary entry in the pet’s voice. A two-model pipeline (vision, then story) keeps a running lore, so entry #40 remembers entry #1.
